Amy and Silvino’s Garden Route Forest Wedding

Thissss! This Garden Route forest wedding!!! First of all, you know that forest weddings are my ABSOLUTE fave and this one was no exception. The fact that it was filled to the brim with emotion and so much laughter was the cherry on top.

Bride and Groom start their new life together facing light rays as the sun sets at their Garden Route Forest Wedding

Amy and Silvino promised themselves to each other surrounded by a sea of pine trees and good friends. Then came the forest picnic instead of canapés… what a brilliant idea! Guests munched on popcorn, brownies, biltong and other snacks whilst we headed off for some photos. Let’s be honest… I’m on a sugar-free journey until someone cracks the lid of the brownie tin haha. We needed the energy anyway (mmmmkay),  because what happened next was jaw-droppingly awesome.

As we wrapped up on the family photos, the setting sun sent out the most incredible rays between the trees of the forest (basically the sun version of the most delicious brownie in history). It was an overwhelmingly beautiful sight and as we ran into the forest together (you don’t just walk when something like that happens, obvs) I thought “this is what dreams are made of!!!”. I am exceptionally grateful to do what I love and days like this… clients like Amy and Silvino… make me thank my lucky stars that I get to be a wedding photographer.

Amy and Vino, you two are honestly one of a kind and totally made for each other. Your faith and the bond you share simply beams out of both of you. We can all take a step back and be extra grateful that you have been brought together to live a life that will centre around faith, growth, and adventure! I am one lucky lady to have travelled the journey of your wedding day with you. To call you friends beyond clients is a true blessing.

Enjoy the photos everyone, there are quite a few as usual haha!

PS. Can you tell I’m hungry? Hahahahah!
