Lucy and Tony’s Tower of London Wedding with Skinners Hall Reception

When I established my photography business, creating a post like this was my big dream. Today, though, I get to sit here and type out the words “Tower of London wedding”. It was pure magic and I still get goosebumps thinking back to the amazing adventure with Lucy and Tony. It cemented my place as a London wedding photographer for a day – zooming through the city in a vintage Rolls Royce and getting to photograph in the most incredible historic spaces and places.

This Tower of London wedding was pure magic. From the moment I hopped on the plane in South Africa to my departure from London four days later, I could not stop smiling. Lucy and I had discussed the idea of me capturing their wedding for quite a while, and I’m thrilled we brought that vision to life!

On the big day, our journey across the city was absolutely gorgeous! We moved from Highbury Stadium Square for prep, to The Tower for the ceremony, and finally, Skinners Hall for their exquisite, classically elegant reception. The Tower also holds special significance for Tony as a Royal Fusilier, with his regimental headquarters there.

The current structure of the Chapel of St Peter ad Vincula, where the couple held their ceremony, dates back to 1520. It was an immense privelege to be able to access the crypt post-ceremony for the signing of the register, and to see all the cool things back there. However, I wasn’t allowed into the chapel for the ceremony itself, so I happily hung out at the door. I have recently seen that The Tower has opened up as a venue for wedding bookings which is just spectacular!

I feel exceptionally honoured that Lucy and Tony chose me to be part of their wedding day. Thank you both for putting absolute trust in me, and allowing me to document this extraordinary moment in your lives!

Oh, the tales I could share (and maybe I will if you give me the chance)… But for now, I’ll leave you with showers of affection, gorgeous light, and a touch of twerking ๐Ÿ™‚
