Sally and Mike said “I-Do” in Sally’s home town of Salem, near Kenton-on-Sea in the Eastern Cape. Although Sally and I chatted about the wedding quite a lot beforehand, it was not until I drove up to the farm the day before that I realised (and shouted out loud) ‘This is a pineapple farm people!!!’. Happy dances ensued, and Mike graciously took me around the farm to scout a few spots for their photos.
We were really spoilt for choice. The rolling hills covered with pineapple bushes were just too gorgeous for words. As was every detail of this beautiful wedding. The families worked tirelessly to put together a truly unique wedding celebration. Sally’s dad even grew pineapple blooms especially for the wedding, which are the beautiful coral colored gems that feature heavily.
There were so many laughs and sweet moments at their wedding, and as the tent lit up under the sky full of stars, I truly felt like we were a million miles from anything. Sitting quietly looking up at the stars whilst listening to the laughing and chatting, I smiled to myself and thought “this is what weddings are all about” 🙂
To Sally and Mike, thank you so much for trusting me to capture what was definitely the happiest day of your lives! I know that this is just the start of many amazing thing ahead for you two 🙂
