Being a wedding photographer in Port Elizabeth definitely has it’s perks! Perks like making friends with incredible, down to earth people who are also part of the wedding industry. People who are passionate, who love beauty and joy as much as you do. Also getting to share in the epic wedding celebrations of friends like Marjorie and Tyran is the cherry on top!
Marji and Tyran’s wedding was put together by some of my favourite wedding suppliers in the Eastern Cape, and man, we have some serious talent! Marji is one half of the stylish Hoiden Bridesmaids duo, a team that I absolutely love working with time and time again (gawsh we have FUN!). After spending so much time with Marji and Este over the years, I was over-the-moon happy and so flipping excited to be asked to photograph Marji’s wedding!!!
I’m not going to lie, when I heard our alternative/slightly gothy Hoiden goddess was getting married I actually asked if she was going to be wearing a black wedding dress. She giggled and said… noooooo Nix! But they definitely found a way to work black into their wedding decor and it was gooooorgeous! Dark foliage with black candles and even black chair covers… and pompom serviettes guys!!! The wedding decor at this wedding was next level cool! Black chalk board style wedding cake? Check!
Ah man, you can’t help but feel happy when looking at these photos! You two are an absolute joy to photograph and my heart is so happy that you finally found each other in the craziness of life. Tyran, I love the was that you look after Marji through all of her head-in-the-clouds moments. Marji, I love the way you can make Tyran laugh so hard. Basically, you are simply perfect for each other!
On to the photos… yay! SO exciting!!!
I get to see some of the most beautiful weddings in the city! If you are looking for some PE wedding inspiration then be sure to check out Unathi and Mtunzi’s 1920’s inspired wedding celebration!
